One of Europe’s most interesting cities is none other than, Vienna. Austria’s capital allures with a classical nostalgia combined with a unique and creative cultural scene. No matter what your interests, this central-European city offers something from history, culture, and art to outdoor activities, nightlife, shopping, and a sophisticated culinary scene. Here are a few things not to miss on your next trip to Austria.
Museums Quarter (MQ)
The very Museums Quarter is a very centrally located, world-class cultural complex showcased in an architecturally fascinating combination of baroque as well as future-oriented design by architects Ortner&Ortner. With more than 60,000 square meters of usable floor space on 8 different floors, it is one of the ten largest cultural, mixed-use complexes in the entire world.
Here are some events this year happening within the Museums Quarter:
Aquadrome
21 May to 31 Au, every Sat, Sun and Holiday, 14:00-18:00
Location: Main MQ Courtyard, at the reflecting pool
Fast boats, a challenging course, and an opponent hot on your heels (the shark). The reflecting pool at the MQ becomes a liquid arena where fans can maneuver remote-controlled boats through a maze of buoys in a race against time. You can either opt to rent a boat or bring your own. This is going to be a lot of fun!
